04/24/2007: Hi Folks. We have had a fantastic spring so far. The trip to Florida was off the hook (Thanks Monty). We had a few amazing local shows (thanks a TON to The Pour House). Also, we have been in and out of the studio doing various projects. All in All it has been a great few months, and it keeps on rollin! We have a great review coming out in the Philly Inquirer this week, and everyone needs to go to the Merch Page and git 'em a copy!! We head out for a string of shows in late May. 10/27/2006: Our webmaster is a lazy bitch, but seriously, sorry for the lack of updates. If you keep track of Terry's Blog or Jack's Blog or The OAK Team My Space you know what has happened in the life of the OAK Team in the last couple of month. It has been (needless to say) IGNUNT. We have been having a blast, with some silly shit mixed in, but it has been a blast. NEW!!! We have NEW MERCH!!! The updated merch can be seen on our Webstore Go check them out!! DON'T FORGET, Christmas Night the Annual Terry Anderson Birthday Bash. As soon as we (I) can figure out how to get it to work, there will be Holiday Specials, and a neat gift from the OAK Team to YOU!

08/01/2006: Howdy folks. We are figna head out on another great OAK Team excursion. It is happening next week. We are playing Knoxville, Chattanooga, and on to our favorite club in the south. The Hummingbird Stage and Tap Room in Macon, GA. We will also have exclusive OAK Team Tour Programs at all of our upcoming shows, so don't miss out on that. 07/08/2006: We are still here!! Sorry for the delay in updates. Terry has been Yayhoo'n, Dave has been folkin' w/ the Tres Chicas, and we all have been messin' around with all sorts of stuff. The good news is, The OAK Team is working on some more tour dates in support of "TA and the OAK Team". We are excited abut bringing the rock back to the peoples. We will be at Tir Na Nog for a repeat performance on July 14th, so don't miss that. Also, we just finished a track for a Christmas compilation "Have a Holly, Raleigh Christmas". Not gonna give it away, but you will LOVE it!!! Check the Shows page for new dates, and we will see you at the shows!

04/12/2006: RE RELEASE!! That's right folks. Terry Anderson and The Olympic Ass-Kickin Team CD has been re release thanks to our friends at Burnside Distribution. You should be seeing the CD in your stores, and on the web more and more!! To celebrate the release, we are gonna play one of the funkiest gigs in Raleigh Friday the 14th of April at Sadlack's Heroes. Come on out EARLY, we will play from 7pm-9pm, and that place will never be the same. Also, check out our Shows page for more upcoming OAK Team gigs. We will be venturing out some this summer, but look for us in the Fall to be gettin' to a city near you. Meanwhile, also check out our My Space page for current updates!

02/16/2006: We are back from Unleashing the Panther on the eastern seaboard and a trip through Macon, GA. The shows were an absolute blast, and we saw some old friends, and met some new ones. Our buds in Watershed helped us thoroughly rock the ass end out of Macon, GA. (oh Macon, we will certainly see y'all again). One date currently on the books right now is the Mardi Gras Bar Crawl in Southern Pines, NC. Hope y'all can make it out there on Saturday the 25th. In cool news, we have a new distribution deal!! The CD "Terry Anderson and the Olympic Ass-Kickin Team will be re-release (firm date yet to come) followed by as much playing as y'all will allow us to do. So, when you see the OAK Team coming to your town, GITYOASSUPDAROAD and come to the show. Pictures, and all sorts of BS coming soon!! 

02/03/2006: Oh boy, did we have a blast on the "Pizza & Biscuits" leg of the Half Cousin's tour. Charleston, WV was great, we got to see our buds Watershed, we got to rock like ass, and we got to leave. Wapakoneta Ohio was (as Terry says, and I can't think of a better way to describe it) OFF THE HOOK. You folks down there are incredible!! Thanks so much to Ron and Terry for the great club, and the hospitality. We also cannot forget about Skip, the soundman, he was as pro as they get!!!! The other shows were great as well, and we will try to have the full photo documentary up soon. We also shot some good footage for the DVD thingy that we are trying to get going, plus footage for a potential Thunderbird VIDEO!!! Look out for that soon. Y'all all some out to Wilmington, Myrtle Beach, and Macon this upcoming weekend. We will rock y'all's asses off too!! We figna UNLEASH THE PANTHER on Eastern NC, SC, and GA. 01/25/2006: Well, We had a blast in Va. Beach, and Richmond this past Saturday, and of course the Pour House got a good ass-whoppin on Sunday. We would really like to thank Barry at Birdland Music, and also Mike and Wendy our great friend in Tidewater for their help, and support of TA and the OAK Team. We look forward to heading out for this weekend up to hopefully your neck of the woods. We hope to see you all out at the shows! 01/19/2006: Well folks, there comes a time when a band must pack up the van and get the hell outta town. That time has come for the OAK Team. We are gonna ring in 2OAK6 like nobodies business!! We start this weekend with a couple of gigs in Virginia, and head down to the home base to rock the ass end out of The Pour House. Then on Thursday, Jan. 26th we head to WV, OH, KY, and TN!! Y'all need to check out the dates on the Shows page, then you need to "Gtiyoassupdaroad" to one (or all) of these shows!!! We hope to see all of your smilin' faces in the crowd, and we look forward to bringin' the rock to ya!! It's gonna ROCK LIKE ASS. 12/29/2005: Thanks to all that came to the Birthday / Christmas show at The Pour House. We played 35 tunes, and rocked the place so hard they threatened not to have us back (not really), We are going to be back at The Pour House on January 22nd to prepare for the world tour.......well, actually a couple big weekender trips, but World Tour is always fun to say!! We hope everyone had a lovely 2005, and prepare for more OAK Team than you can handle in 2OAK6!!!! ***NEW*** for winter time, we now have official OAK Team Hoodies available. 12/11/2005: Allright!! We have a special announcement (well 3 actually) First, this Friday, December 16th and The Cat's Cradle we will be filming what we hope will be the meat of a new Terry Anderson and The Olympic Ass Kickin Team DVD !!! All y'all come out and see the show, and try to get yo face on the movie. We are really excited, and it should be TONS of fun.

11/26/2005: Hope y'all all had a tremendous Thanksgiving, and hope your holiday season is wonderful! A lot of stuff coming up in the new year for the OAK Team. We have some great out of town runs set up, and we hope that we will come to YOUR town, and you will come to OUR gigs!! We have put up a couple pics from our triumphant return to Lexington Ky, on the Media Page. We rocked their asses so hard that they are having us back in January!! 10/29/2005: More Love for the OAK Team (this time from down under)!!

Terry...

The latest TA/OAK Team CD arrived yesterday- have listened to nothing else but. Be assured I love this one too- shit,what's not to like?? It's all
there mashed into one big messy ball of Southern-fried Rock n Roll- a
stewpot of Chuck Berry, Rolling Stones, NRBQ, The Louvin Brothers , early 70's era Faces but that's not say it's all recycled. It's your own muse informed by the right sources and no one does Terry Anderson quite like Terry Anderson.

No track misses its target- be the giddy Southern Pop of "Raindrops" to the revved-up "Purple GTO" ot the Dixiefied funk of "Hi N Dry". Many cool curveballs get thrown along the way- be it the creamy Beach Boys harmonies on the bridge of "Thunderbird" or the Gram Parsons-with-a-sense-of- humour hoedown on "Rehab". Maybe it's the monstorous Chuck Berry guitar lick that breaks up "Check Please" or "Sunday Dress" the best song never to appear on "Exile On Main Street". Yeah, it's all good and hearing/owning this CD reaffirms it for me that there's still someone out there fighting that good- and each time I hear it little pieces of Bono and Madonna die.

It gets an eleven from me on the one to ten scale and in a less imperfect
world any song should be blaring out of radios all over the world. Won't
happen of course but in the radio of my mind "Sunday Dress " is number one and gets played on the hour. Be proud, Terry and Jack Cornell too- he produced the whole deal like a real keeper of flame. Real people play real instruments and I don't hear one whiff a flute!!

You've done it again bro- another great Terry Anderson album.

10/24/2005: We had an absolute blast last weekend in Lexington. Thanks so much to Taildragger, and Scott L. for having us over. We saw some old friends, net some new friends, sold some records, and shirts, and ROCKED LIKE ASS. We should be heading back your way soon Kentucky, so LOOK OUT.

08/05/2005: In the interest of time and our reputations we (the OakTeam) have decided that new record will not be called "Butterhead" afterall. The cover art will now include the ass-kickin' guys featured here on this website and on our T-shirts. The record itself will now be self titled "Terry Anderson and The Olympic Ass-Kickin' Team". I know this will disappoint many of you who were looking forward to seeing our faces carved in butter on the cover, but we just couldn't make it happen...this time. We will now officially go back to refering to it as ..the new OakTeam record. Please disregard any reference to "Butterhead", but ya gotta admit..it WAS pretty damn funny!
